Habitat for Humanity Celebrates 20 Years of Building Dreams

January 22, 2015–This year, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fredericksburg celebrates its 20th anniversary of providing decent, affordable, safe housing to those in need in our community.

“We are proud to have built homes for 15 local families in the past two decades,” said Habitat Vice President Kelly Musselman. “We have a lot of things to celebrate this year, including the completion of House #15 next month and the move in of our newest homeowners, the Perez family, this spring.”

Habitat for Humanity Launches “Raise the Roof” 2014 Fund Drive

Since 1995, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fredericksburg has helped fifteen area families find a new home, sweet home. Habitat hopes to add Home #16 to that list of dwellings. A building lot at 304 W. Park Street is ready and waiting, however to “raise the roof”, they must first raise the money. To that end, Habitat is launching their “Raise the Roof” 2014 Fund Drive.

“By being a part of Habitat’s good work, you can help make a house a home for another deserving family in our community,” said board vice-president Kelly Musselman. “Our goal is to help local families in need with clean, decent, safe affordable housing.”
